Do I talk to “real” doctors?
Yes. Members only talk to actual doctors who are state-licensed family practitioners, primary care physicians, internists, and pediatricians. When members request a consult, they will be connected with a doctor licensed and practicing in their state.
Is askTimely for emergency situations?
askTimely is only for non-emergency medical issues. Members should not use it if they are experiencing a medical emergency. Please dial 911 if you are having a medical emergency. askTimely is also not intended to replace a member’s primary care physician.
What type of doctor or specialist can I speak with?
Members can talk to a doctor directly. Our doctors are licensed in internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics. A doctor may also provide guidance on the type of specialist a member should see.
Can I use it for my family?
The primary member and 7 immediate family members or household members will have access to consults.
Can I get a prescription
A prescription is not guaranteed. It is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. Doctors will submit your prescription directly to the pharmacy of the member's choice. Doctors will never issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA and certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. These include, but are not limited to, antidepressant drugs such as Cymbalta, Prozac, Percocet, Oxycodone, and Zoloft. Non-therapeutic drugs such as Viagra and Cialis are not prescribed by network doctors.
How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?
askTimely does not dispense prescription drugs. If the doctor prescribes medication, it is submitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy of the member's choice.
Is my electronic health record kept private?
Health records are kept private and secure in order to protect members’ personal information. Only members can determine who can see the information in their records.
Can I be turned down for a pre-existing condition?
No, members are not turned away because of pre-existing conditions. askTimely is not insurance.
Who is the SmartExam device for?
SmartExam can be used on patients 2 years old and older and operated by 18+ aged adults.
What do I need to know in order to use the SmartExam device?
All you will need is a smartphone and basic familiarity with apps and how they are used. During the live video consultation, your doctor will guide you and explain everything you need to know about how to use the SmartExam device to conduct the various exams. In addition, the NONAGON app features tutorial videos to show you exactly how to get started with using the SmartExam device.
How do I connect the SmartExam to my smartphone?
It’s simple. The SmartExam device pairs with your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Is Nonagon FDA cleared?
Yes! The Nonagon system, including the SmartExam handheld device in conjunction with the Nonagon app, is FDA cleared.
Is Nonagon CE marked?
Yes! The Nonagon system, including the SmartExam handheld device in conjunction with the Nonagon app, is CE marked.
What about data privacy? Do you follow any privacy policies?
NONAGON puts patient wellbeing first and, therefore, adheres to strict privacy policies. All of your personal information, along with examination results and correspondences with your doctor, is encrypted and stored in our HIPAA-compliant cloud-based system. Access to your health information is restricted and can only be shared at your discretion.
